of Use. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using
this site, and if you do not agree with any of the below Terms
of Use, please exit our website. We reserve the right, in our
sole discretion, to modify, alter, and otherwise update these
Terms of Use at any time. Should you make use of our website

2. PRIVACY POLICY
Why Should I Read This Notice?
We want you to understand how we collect and use information from
visitors on our website. This notice explains what kind of information
we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it to others.
If you give us permission to collect or use personally identifiable
information from your child and we make any material changes in
how we plan to use that information, we will notify you of this
change and require that you give us permission for these new uses.
What is Personally Identifiable Information?
"
Personally identifiable information" is information that identifies
a person or allows a person to be located. Examples of personally
identifiable information include a name, a home address, an e-mail
address, a telephone number, or a Social Security number.
When Do We Collect Personally Identifiable Information
from Your Child?
We collect personally identifiable information from your child
when your child registers on our website.
Whenever our website collects personally identifiable information
about your child, the page contains a reminder that children must
have their parents' permission in connection with providing an
answer to any questions asked on the page.
On our home page and on other pages on our website, your child
can click on a link to register on our website. This registration
is not required to visit our website.
In our Mail Room, your child can send us an e-mail with his or
her comments on topics we have selected. We may post your child's
answer to a question, but if we do, we first remove any information
that would personally identify your child. For example, we may
list a response from "Brooke," but we will NOT include
her last name or e-mail address.
When your child wants to buy a product offered on our website,
we also collect the personally identifiable information necessary
for the transaction such as name, address, and credit card information
through a VeriSign secured site.
In other places on our website, we may ask you to provide information
to us to review products, participate in contests, join our official
online Fan Club, subscribe to our eNewsletter, etc .
What Kind of Information Do We Collect from Your
Child?
The personally identifiable information we request from your child
may include name, postal and e-mail address, age, gender, number
of siblings, favorite games, fashion/accessory preferences, reading
preferences, and other information including, without limitation,
information about your child's favorite celebrities, movies, songs
and hobbies.
In addition, if your child elects to purchase
products online, we request credit card information to process
the order. Using credit cards on our website is safe through VeriSign’s
SSL security encryption program on our site and secured through
VeriSign’s payment processing services.
We also may collect other information your child sends us by e-mail
to our Mail Room, such as your child's comments on topics we have
selected.
What Do We Do With the Personally Identifiable
Information We Collect?
We gather, store and archive the information we collect from our
website.
We may use the personally identifiable information
we collect from your child for various purposes including: marketing
and research analysis; product service and development; promotion
and advertising; fulfillment of a requested transaction (i.e. sale
of a product, delivery of a catalog); record keeping; marketing
back to your child; and billing and customizing the website to
individual visitors. We also may use the information to develop
an individual profile of your child, or a profile of certain groups
of visitors to our website or for contacting your child about our
products, promotions, surveys, or new developments or events. If
you do not want your child to be contacted about these products
and promotions, you can let us know at any time. See the "Can
You Delete or Update Personally Identifiable Information?" section
below.
Do We Disclose Personally Identifiable Information
About Your Child?
If you give us your permission, we may disclose information we
collect about your child to other third party companies by way
of sale, lease or rental agreement. The types of businesses in
which such third parties are engaged include the following: manufacturing
and retailing of toys, movie video and music products (CDs, tapes,
cassettes, DVD discs, etc.), clothing, games, video games and equipment;
magazine publishing and retailing; market analysis and development;
and advertising.
Of course, online purchases require us to disclose
necessary payment information to payment processors. We also may
use third parties to send you the products you purchase, in which
case we would provide them with your name, address, and other information
necessary to complete your order.
Agreements with third parties will provide that
such third parties will not use or disclose the information for
purposes other than those purposes contracted for, and will also
require the third parties to maintain the confidentiality, security
and integrity of such information.
Disclosure Without Consent.
In certain limited circumstance, we may collect and disclose personally
identifiable information from your child without first obtaining
your consent. These circumstances are described as follows:
It will be necessary for us to collect your child's
name and online contact information, and the name and online contact
information of the child's parent, in order to provide the parent
with notice of our information practices and to seek the parent's
consent for the collection and/or disclosure of information about
the child. Should any child's parent not respond within ninety
days thereafter, then we will delete that child's and his/her parent's
information at that time.
We may collect your child's name and online contact
information in order to respond on a one-time basis to a specific
request from your child (i.e. upon request from the child, we may
e-mail to the child information about our website). After responding
the child's name and information will be deleted. Any unsolicited
email received will first be screened to determine if he/she is
a prior registrant under this policy; if not a message will be
sent back to the sender that advises that we will not respond until
the sender is properly registered on www.savvymusic.biz according
to this policy.
We may collect your child's and parent's name
and online contact information in order to respond directly more
than once to a specific request of the child (i.e. to provide an
online magazine subscription, or a contest entry and subsequent
award), but in these cases the child must first be registered with
us on www.savvymusic.biz, as required under this policy before
we will respond.
Under certain circumstances we may collect and/or
disclose information as is necessary to protect the safety of a
child participating in our website, or to comply with law or legal
process, or to protect the security and integrity of our website.
You have the option to agree to let us collect
your child's personally identifiable information for activities
on our website, but to not allow us to disclose the information
to third parties. To prevent disclosure to third parties, please
check the appropriate box in our parental consent form.

to allow only registered visitors to participate in a chat. If
this is the case and your child is under 13, your consent will
be required before registration and participation are allowed.

do so by providing notice of such changes on our home page and
make changes in our online forms requesting personally identifiable
