ALAN SHAW

Nickname: A-Town
Birthday: May 25

Hey guys, how's it goin? My name's Alan. I'm from San Antonio, TX . I'm a Christian. I have confessed that Jesus Christ is the King of the Kings. Alrighty then, here are the basics.

My favorite hobbies are playing basketball, playing the piano and guitar, singing, dancing, listening to music, hanging out with my friends, watching TV, music making, and playing video games. My favorite kinds of music are Rock, Alternative, Hip-Hop, R&B. Pop, Techno, and Country. My favorite artists are Skillet, Pillar, Three Days Grace, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Lecrae, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown. Some of my favorite movies include Stomp the Yard, Step Up, You Got Served, and Spiderman. My favorite sports are Basketball and Football.

I started singing when I was about 3. When I was 9, my friend convinced me to join a performance organization for young artists. That was where I learned how to dance. Through the network, I performed at many places in San Antonio including the Oyster Bake and Market Street.

On April 24th, 2004 I auditioned for Savvy. There was a lot of talent in that studio that day so I had to take my talents to the next level if I wanted to get into Savvy. At the end of the day, all of my hard work paid off and I was selected to be one of the members of the group. I learned something that day. If you want something, you gotta go get it and not let anyone stop you. God will take care of you. "You don't pray for challenges equal to your strength, but for your strength to equal your challenges." I know, that quote is awesome isn't it, haha. Okay, next paragraph.

Being on the road is real cool, and can be pretty wild sometimes. We've been chased by tons of fans and we've been recognized by fans at malls and all that good stuff. Performing for the fans is always cool too because when they're really getting in to your music and their going crazy, you tend feed off of that energy and that's what all 7 of us love about performing.

Our fans are the coolest fans in the world. They've made us t-shirts, posters, sent us mail, gifts, and all that good stuff. I know I already said but w/e. We love our fans. We would probably do almost everything for them. They mean the world to us. If they didn't like us then we probably wouldn't be here. Our fans, our family, our teachers, and our friends keep us going ‘til we drop and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll see you guys later, I'm out.
Alan
